Helicopter landing site at the Hospital in Gdynia

The helicopter landing pad on the roof of the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital in Gdynia is a modern investment that was completed in 2022. Built on top of a ten-story building, it is located 40 meters above the ground, enabling the rapid transport of patients requiring immediate medical attention. The platform has an octagonal structure with an aluminum plate and is equipped with PAPI lighting to facilitate precise landings, even at night. Communication with the rest of the hospital was provided by specially designed platforms, a lifting platform and emergency stairs.

The landing site serves Polish Medical Air Rescue helicopters and can accommodate aircraft weighing up to 6.7 tonnes, enabling faster transport of patients from accidents or to other specialist facilities in the region.
